Brainstorming starts by connecting coach with student to determine the best topics and approaches for your student to create an authentic and dynamic personal essay. Once advised and equipped with direction, your student begins the writing process. 

All feedback is given via conference and all conferences are booked at hour intervals billed at a rate of $120/hour.

Becky's editing work in advance or as a result of a student conference is billed at the same rate. 

A student can receive coaching on multiple essays concurrently, as needed, and can start a consult at any stage of the writing process.

Once your child has completed a first draft of the essay, Becky will review it for tone, style, organization, and opportunities for further personalization. All corrections and suggestions will be given and explained via conference. Your child will be encouraged and coached to use their voice in an effective, expressive, and evocative way. It is wholly your student's essay. The essay is not finished until it is both reflective of your student and excellent in form and substance. The length of this process will depend on each individual student. 

Coaching takes place over video conference via Zoom. Cameras must be turned on for all virtual coaching sessions and a quiet environment is required. All appointments are arranged at mutually convenient times. .

If in-person coaching is desired, it is evaluated on a case-by-case exceptional basis.
